As a result of this expedition, both Lewis and Clark have come across places and people they never knew were even a thing. They discover lands, rivers, and mountains no one knew existed. They were unmapped until Lewis and Clark got there themselves and did everything in their power to make it known. They even saw Native Americans. They didn’t know who they were entirely but they took extremely detailed notes as to who they were and what they looked like so they could bring it back and show people what they had discovered and so they wouldn't think they are lying. On their voyage, they have also discovered plants and animals and with this, they took their notes and showed people what they had achieved. They had talked about this topic so much that it made Americans want to go and discover it for themselves. It turned out to be the American's biggest dream.
